VRAK N° 3

L'L presents the VRAK Festival in its third edition !

VRAK is a one of a kind festival which showcases work by young performing artists residing at L’L, and it is set to kick into gear once again. An event based in Ixelles, the place where L’L’s heart beats. Four days of celebration for all the residents at L’L, for the entire community of Ixelles (which has supported the project all along the way) and for anyone keen to discover remarkable talent and relive the atmosphere of the past two editions. An unusual festival completely made up of works in progress. In other words: questioned scenographic objects in evolution, moments of research that will perhaps never culminate in full-fledged productions, encounters with some of the most eclectic artistic languages without any of the tricks we have come to expect from “shows”... In short, a chance to share objects that are still “in the process of creation”, to experience the innermost depths of an artist’s research. On top of these works in progress, VRAK also proposes an opportunity to enjoy a number of creations, the final result of the research projects accomplished with L’L’s guidance. Also a number of “carte blanche” performances, for moments of pure experimentation, as well as proposals from “mentors”, whose role in the development of the L’L project cannot be underestimated. Last but not least, a number of concerts will take place to enhance the distinctively festive aspect of this new edition of VRAK festival. All available with a PASS at the price of only € 10!

For this third edition, some residents at L’L will present souvenirs of their work fresh off the printers: Marlon, a bilingual book in French and Dutch by Aude Lachaise (published by Lansman), Hide&Seek, a monograph by Beata Szparagowska (published by Le caillou bleu) and Jeu de l’oie du spectacle vivant, a joint venture between Centre Pompidou Metz/Le Phénix Valenciennes/L’L Bruxelles, produced by L’amicale de production.

The L’L team wishes you an excellent VRAK!
